Trinity College of Engineering, Trivandrum has signed MoU with
Malaysia's largest university, University Teknologi MARA (UiTM) for cooperation
in academic, scientific and personnel development. Trinity is the first college
in Kerala that UiTM University has entered into MoU. The agreement will
facilitate student and faculty exchange, conduct of short courses and
conferences and collaborative research in engineering and technology.
Trinity College of Engineering is established in 2011 it is
one of the fastest growing engineering colleges in Kerala. TCE is approved by
AICTE & also affiliated to the APJ Abdul Kalam Kerala Technological
University. Trinity has been ranked as the Top College for Innovation
and Entrepreneurship in the state by the Kerala Startup mission.
BTech Courses
in branches like Mechanical, Civil, Electrical & Electronics Engineering
and Electronics & Communication Engineering are offered by this
institution. Trinity hosted the widely appreciated commendable model of faculty
entrepreneurship in engineering education. From a single faculty run company on
campus in 2013, today the campus hosts over a dozen of such companies, the
specialty is that; most of them owned by faculty teams. This TCE model helps
the faculty and students stay updated with the latest technology in their field
of study and teaching.
Trinity College campus runs a technology business incubator
in their campus which is undertaken by the state government IT department
subsidiary. With its state of the art lab facility and most enterprising faculty and enthusiastic students, Trinity
undertakes external projects that impel innovation in several sectors. The
college develops and delivers breath analyzers to the Kerala Police department
and IoT products also some custom made robotics and electronics to the industry
and healthcare sector.
Trinity College of Engineering has won multiple awards. Kerala Startup Mission has consistently recognized Trinity as the top college for entrepreneurship and innovation in the state. The college serves as a cluster head for other colleges in Trivandrum district for the Kerala Technological University. Last month, the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) gave the Best Student Chapter in Kerala award to Trinity at the ISTE National summit held in Gujarat.
