The Department of Communication and Media Studies of Marian College Kuttikkanam (Autonomous) is organizing an International Webinar on the topic ' Post-Covid Challenges in the Film Industry' on 09 August 2020 at 10 AM (IST).
Prominent personalities from across the globe will be participating in this webinar as guest speakers along with the faculty members of the department. Students, academicians, members from the film industry, film aspirants, and enthusiasts from various parts of the world will be participating in this international webinar as delegates. The ongoing pandemic poses great challenges to the conventional nature of cinema.
Today with the OTT platforms reaping astronomical benefits from the global pandemic, the world of cinema has converged from the big screens to mobile and laptop screens. The world equally benefitted and suffered from this radical paradigm shift in the nature of cinema. This international webinar focuses on addressing the challenges posed by these changes.
Famous film critic and national award winner Dr. C S Venkiteswaran, film academician, jury member of numerous international film festivals, and National award winner Shri. Madhu Eravankara, cinematographer and deputy head, technical documentation, and archival division of ISRO Mr. P V Sunil Kumar and Croatian director and Critic Ms. Dalia Alic will be the guest speakers of this webinar. Director of the Department of Communication and Media Studies, Prof. M Vijayakumar will moderate the webinar and panel discussion.
