Jio Smartphone Launched with an attractive price tag of just ₹6,499

India's biggest Telecom company  Jio has been working with Google for introducing a new entry-level smartphone after their two keypad-mounted phones. The new smartphone phone was supposed to launch in October but it got delayed and the company has already promised to launch the smartphone around the Diwali holidays.

Now, the JIO has officially launched the smartphone which is named as JioPhone Next. This smartphone brings you a 5.45 inch HD plus display that comes with corning gorilla glass and anti-fingerprint coating on top. The display offers a decent resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels.

This JIO made smartphone works on a Qualcomm branded Snapdragon 215 quad-core processor with an Adreno 308 GPU.JioPhone Next offers 2GB of RAM space and 32GB of internal storage space; the additional storage space can be expanded up to 512GB with the support of a microSD card.

This entry-level smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel resolution autofocus camera sensor as its primary camera module with an LED flash for low light photography and this will also act as a flashlight for other purposes. On the front of this device, there is an 8-megapixel resolution autofocus camera sensor for taking selfies and for video calling purposes.

This smartphone supports dual SIM and it also comes with  4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and micro USB connectivity.  Android 11 (Go Edition) with Pragati OS is the operating system offered by this Jio phone and it is powered by a 3500mAh battery which can work for a full day usage.

The JioPhone Next smartphone will be available for purchase from 4th November through JioMart Digital stores; a network of more than 30000 retail stores across India. It can also be purchased through offline Jio Stores, Jio.com, or by sending just a “Hi” message using WhatsApp to 70182-70.

This Smartphone is launched with a price tag of  ₹6,499. But Jio is also offering EMI starting at ₹300 per month which gives an option to pay just ₹1,999 at the time of purchase and then the customer can pay the rest through EMI over 18 or 24 months duration.
