Open Photography Foundation invites you to join and experience the roots of Vellayani by exploring your photography skills. No matter either you are mobile photographer or professional, OPF is your platform. This Monsoon Photo walk also meant for a community gathering by meeting the people know each other so far virtually through Whatsapp only.
OPF Kerala Chapter organizes a Photography Event on 23rd June. "Monsoon Photowalk to Vellayani".The walk will ultimately lead to exploring the beauty of Vellayani where one of the freshwater lakes in Kerala belongs to. Photography enthusiasts can join the event and there is no age bar and no gear/gadget restrictions. If you have just a smartphone you too can join this event.
Vellayani Lake or Vellayani Kayal (in Malayalam) is the largest freshwater lake in Thiruvananthapuram district, of Kerala, India. It is around 9 km away from the Thiruvananthapuram Central Bus Station at Thampanoor. Also, the location is easily accessible by KSRTC and private Buses to Vellayani Lake from City Depot at East Fort also. It is at a distance of 7 km from Kovalam junction via Poonkulam . During Mentors will share you the tips and tricks of photography along with ethical practices and social responsibility thoughts while capturing the outside world.
