Huawei will launch Smartphones with Harmony OS to compete with Android


The highly anticipated  Mobile OS from Chinese tech giant Huawei is about to make it's way sooner.  Last year Huawei unveiled their own OS which will replace Android OS on Huawei gadgets.  Huawei's in-house developed HarmonyOS is expected to hit the gadgets at the end of this year. During Huawei Developers Conference held in 2019; The head of Huawei’s consumer business, Mr.Richard Yu mentioned that the upcoming operating system would “Bring more harmony and convenience to the world”. He also said that this new OS will be a future-oriented OS. The OS is meant to be more smooth and secure; he added during the developer conference.



HarmonyOS is expected to be the one that will absolutely different from Android and iOS.Soon after the US ban, Huawei confirmed their new OS development and it is expected to be the first microkernel-based distributed operating system. The  OS uses HUAWEI ARK Compiler with support for app development in multiple languages like C, C++ Kotlin, Java, and javascript. It is also expected that the platform will support HTML5, Linux, and Android app compatibility.



The company planned to develop the first version of the New OS as HarmonyOS 1.0  in 2019  and to be tested in their televisions. In 2020 they planned the development of HarmonyOS 2.0 for devices like a smartwatch,  smart band, and PCs. This year they have planned for another upgrade in the development phase and the result of the same is expected to come in the coming weeks. 



According to the reports coming from some research organizations, Huawei’s upcoming HarmonyOS is expected to surpass Linux  Operating System by the end of 2020 and is expected to become the fifth most popular digital gadget and smart digital terminal OS. The platform is designed primarily for the Internet of things (IoT) devices and it is almost completing one year since its announcement as HarmonyOS  Unveiled on 9 August 2019. Let us wait for the launch of HarmonyOS in the global market.
