LBS Institute of Technology for Women; one of the best choices for young women engineering aspirants

LBS Institute of Technology for Women, Trivandrum has been one of the best choices for young women engineering aspirants by providing a dynamic and empowering educational environment. The institute started functioning in 2001 and is a unique venture of the LBS Centre for Science and Technology, under the auspices of the Government of Kerala. It is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala, and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

LBSITW is the one and only women`s engineering college in the state under the Government of Kerala. The institute offers B-Tech programs in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, and Civil Engineering. It also offers M-Tech programs in Signal Processing and Computer Science & Engineering. 

Over the past nineteen years, since its inception, LBSITW has been fulfilling its mission successfully. The dedicated efforts of the well-qualified faculty and supporting staff coupled with the systematic and sincere academic activities of the students enable the institute to accomplish its vision. LBSITW was one of the 19 prestigious engineering colleges in Kerala funded by the World Bank aided TEQIP-II project of MHRD, Government of India.

LBS Insti­tute of Tech­nol­ogy for Women takes great pride in the achievements and academic success of its students. The institute sets a new milestone in campus placements in the past few years. The outstanding academic system has contributed significantly to making LBS Insti­tute of Tech­nol­ogy for Women as one of the preferred destinations for recruiters as well as students. In the academic year 2019-20, with an intake of 360 students, more than 330 job offers were received from various national and multi-national companies. More than 300 job offers were released during the academic year 2018-19 as well, consistently keeping the flags fly high. 

The placement graphs and the preference by recruiting partners are evident by the ever-growing acceptance of LBSITW graduates in various industries. This shows the institute’s excellence in education and transforming the young mind’s dream into a reality. 

More than 90% of the students will get placed in reputed Multi-National Companies every year. In addition to the academic activities, the institute gives much preference to the extra-curricular activities of the students. The institute also offers on-campus hostel facilities for the students with anytime access to the library, central computing facilities, etc.
